CANAL BOAT HIRE ON UK CANALS AND RIVERS
Drifters Waterways Holidays is a consortium of privately owned self-drive hire boat companies set up to promote enjoyment of canal holidays to potential customers nationally and globally.
We have 590 Holiday Hire Boats operating from 47 sites spread throughout the canals of England, Wales and Scotland, as well as sites on the Fens and the River Thames. A number of these locations also offer Day Boat Hire.
To become involved with Drifters, members have to subscribe to the highest standards. We invest more than all other operators put together in new boats each year.
All members are trained and accredited by British Marine for Hire Boat Instruction and Handover Procedures. Click here for more details
We are at the forefront in setting new standards in safety and customer care and are currently taking the lead in introducing a new safety DVD for the Canal & River Trust, the third one in which we have been involved.
We work in partnership with the Canal & River Trust in promoting the canals and offering advice to them for the greater enjoyment of our customers’ holidays.
