Canal boat journey to Shakespeare’s Stratford

Angela Riches reviews her narrow boat holiday on the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal and River Avon

Setting off from our canal boat hire base at Wootton Wawen, Angela Riches of H&N Magazine went on a canal boat journey to Shakespeare’s Stratford and Evesham.

Angela, her husband and son were travelling aboard Drifters Luxury 65ft narrowboat ‘Duncan’, with two double cabins and two shower rooms.

The 7-night journey began on the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal, passing close by to the village of Wilmcote on the way to Stratford-upon-Avon. After visiting Shakespeare’s Stratford, they transferred onto the River Avon and continued on to Evesham.
