Shropshire Union Canal

The Shropshire Union Canal (or the "Shroppie") runs from Wolverhampton right up through Chester to Ellesmere Port.

The southern section features giant embankments and deep wooded cuttings through beautiful Shropshire countryside, with its fair share of good canalside pubs and unspoilt villages.
